The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Mr. Simon Madjie, has joined the Vice President of Ghana, H.E. Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, to open a new sanitary pad production line at Softcare FM Manufacturing Limited.

The opening marks a significant expansion of the company’s operations and is expected to boost Ghana’s manufacturing sector, create employment opportunities and support the government’s industrial transformation agenda.

Speaking at the event, speakers highlighted the importance of strengthening local manufacturing to reduce imports, add value to the economy and promote sustainable industrial growth.

The occasion also underscored the government’s commitment to menstrual health management through the Free Sanitary Pad Initiative.

The programme aims to promote inclusive growth by ensuring access to sanitary products for girls, thereby supporting improved school attendance and educational outcomes across the country.

The new production line at Softcare FM Manufacturing Limited is expected to enhance local capacity in the production of sanitary products, contribute to job creation and reinforce Ghana’s broader industrialisation and social development goals.
