GIPC CEO leads Ghana delegation on strategic China mission to boost investment and growth
Mr. Simon Madjie, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), is in China with a delegation of government leaders on a 24H+ strategic mission aimed at strengthening bilateral partnerships, attracting new investments, and advancing Artificial Intelligence–driven economic growth.
The mission is focused on engaging leading Chinese institutions and stakeholders to deepen Ghana–China relations while exploring opportunities for collaboration in priority sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
A key component of the visit was to gain deeper insights into China’s governance systems and cultural approach to development, with the aim of adapting relevant lessons to Ghana’s context.
According to officials, the delegation is also seeking investment and technical support to drive industrial expansion, innovation and skills development, while leveraging AI research and data-driven tools to inform long-term economic planning and policy formulation.
The China engagement underscores Ghana’s growing commitment to knowledge-led development and mutually beneficial international partnerships.
By tapping into global expertise and emerging technologies, the government hopes to position Ghana as a competitive investment destination and accelerate sustainable national development.
