SIC Insurance courts GPHA to expand insurance partnership

The Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng, on Monday hosted the Acting Director-General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kulono, at the head office of SIC Insurance PLC in Accra.
The high-level meeting, held at the request of Mr. Agyenim-Boateng, was graced by a powerful delegation from GPHA, with Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono personally opting to visit SIC’s premises for the engagement.
During the meeting, Mr. Agyenim-Boateng expressed his desire for GPHA to increase its insurance portfolio with SIC Insurance, noting that the company had lost some key accounts over the past eight years.
He underscored the financial strength and reliability of SIC Insurance, stressing the company’s consistent track record in prompt claims settlement, regardless of the amount involved.
“SIC Insurance remains financially sound and committed to honouring claims on time.
We believe there is room to rebuild and expand our partnership with GPHA for our mutual benefit,” Mr. Agyenim-Boateng stated.
In response, Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono acknowledged the request and gave his assurance that GPHA would give it favourable consideration. His response was welcomed as a positive indication of renewed collaboration between the two institutions.
The meeting marks a strategic move by SIC Insurance PLC to reclaim and grow its market share, particularly among key state institutions, by reinforcing confidence in its service delivery and financial resilience.
