Ghanaian musician Barosky has returned to the music studio days after being repatriated from Manchester in the United Kingdom.

A video sighted by classfmonline.com shows the musician vocalising to a beat in the studio in the company of legendary Ghanaian music producer Appietus.

The development comes shortly after Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa confirmed that Barosky had been brought back to Ghana.

“I can confirm that we have repatriated Barosky and he is safely back with us in Ghana,” Mr Ablakwa said in a Facebook post.

He said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs fully sponsored Barosky’s repatriation as part of its consular mandate.

“We are also providing psychosocial support and a reintegration financial assistance,” he added.

Mr Ablakwa expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, particularly media personality Nana Romeo, for bringing Barosky’s situation in Manchester to the attention of the authorities.

He also commended Ghana’s High Commission in the UK for its coordination of the repatriation.

“We strive to leave no Ghanaian behind,” the minister said.

Barosky’s plight became a subject of public concern after footage of him struggling on the streets of Manchester circulated online.

He subsequently returned to Ghana on Monday, September 7, 2026. 

The latest studio footage provides a glimpse of the musician back in a familiar environment.

Appietus shared footage of the two musicians in the studio on Wednesday, September 9. The video shows them singing together. However, no details have been given about whether they are working on a new recording. 

Barosky, whose real name is Isaac Obeng Mensah, is known for his contributions to Highlife classics including Kofi Nti’s Rakia and Ofori Amponsah’s Otoolege. He also worked with Appietus earlier in his career, training as a sound engineer under the producer between 2002 and 2004.
