Beverly Afaglo succumbed to cancer after 2-year fight – Manager
Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo died after battling cancer for two years, her manager Abu Iddris has revealed.
Speaking to Ghana Weekend on Sunday, May 24, 2026, Iddris said Beverly passed away on Saturday night at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema.
According to him, the actress had been fighting the illness for the past two years.
“She’s been battling cancer for two years. It’s been a relentless war. She really fought hard, and this is where it ended,” he said.
Iddris explained that the disease initially started as breast cancer before spreading because of a genetic condition.
Her death was announced by her husband, musician Eugene Baah, also known as Choirmaster or Praye Ho Ne Ho of the Praye group, through a social media post on Sunday. Beverly was 42 years old.
Her manager said she continued working and supporting her family while receiving treatment.
“In fact, we shot things for her while she was undergoing treatment. The premieres, the promotions, she was undergoing treatment. She lived while doing her very best until the cancer really overtook her,” he stated.
He added that Beverly travelled to the United States for medical treatment and was advised to stay because of the healthcare facilities available there, but she decided to return to Ghana to spend time with her children.
“She chose to come be with her kids, knowing the situation. This is the kind of person she is. She chose to come see her kids and spend the last days with them at a cost,” he said.
The family has not yet announced details of her funeral arrangements.
