The family of veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Nortey has announced condolence visiting hours following her death.

Friends, colleagues and loved ones can visit the family at No. 13 Calvary Street, G.E., on Wednesdays from 12pm to 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 5pm.

The family said it welcomes those who wish to join them in remembering the actress.

Grace Nortey died on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 89.

In a statement announcing her death, the family described her as “a mother to our family” and “a legend to the nation”.

She was also celebrated for her contribution to Ghana’s theatre, television and film industry, having built a career spanning several decades.

The family said funeral arrangements and details of the final rites will be announced in due course.
