GuiltyBeatz wins Grammy via Tems' 'Love Me Jeje'
Ronald Banful, the Ghanaian international DJ and record producer professionally called GuiltyBeatz, won a Grammy during the 67th edition of the prestigious ceremony.
On Sunday, February 2, 2025, Nigeria's Tems was called up to the stage as the 2025 winner of the Best African Music Performance award for her Love Me Jeje, a song produced by her friend and record producer GuiltyBeatz.
Among the group of family, friends and associates who stood by Tems during her acceptance speech was GuiltyBeatz in his black tuxedo, beaming with pride.
More than 50 per cent of the music on Tems' latest album, Born in the Wild, was produced by GuiltyBeatz.
Together, they had four Grammy nominations this year.
GuiltyBeatz has famously worked with Beyonce, too.
Meanwhile, Tems is the second winner of the Best African Music Performance award.
Last year, South Africa's Tyla took the honour as the inaugural winner with her Water. Interestingly, the viral hit was produced by a Ghanaian called Sammy So So.
