The Nungua Mankralo, Tetse Nii Bortey Kofi Frankwa II, has underscored the need for deeper unity and cultural cohesion between the people of southern and northern Ghana as the Tidani of Temali paid a historic visit to the Wolumokono of the Gadangme State in Nungua.

Speaking in an interview, the Mankralo described the visit as “a powerful symbol of the longstanding bond and mutual respect shared between Nungua and Temali”.

He noted that both traditional authorities — considered custodians of their people’s warrior heritage — played critical roles in maintaining peace, strengthening cultural identity, and guiding community development.

According to Tetse Nii Bortey Kofi Frankwa II, the visit aimed to promote tribal tolerance, correct misconceptions between ethnic groups, and deepen the spirit of national oneness. 

He explained that the meeting of the two overlords was not merely ceremonial but a strategic step towards fostering collaboration in cultural preservation and inter-community relations.

As part of the visit, both traditional leaders are expected to engage in cultural exchanges, including exhibitions, discussions on heritage, and interactions with local elders and youth. 

These activities, the Mankralo noted, would help reinforce the shared values between the two communities and communicate the continued relevance of traditional leadership to national development.

He emphasised that Ghana’s cultural diversity should be a source of strength rather than division.

“We are one people with interconnected histories. This visit reminds us that unity, understanding, and respect must guide how we relate as Ghanaians,” he said.

The Mankralo further expressed hope that the collaboration between the Tidani of Temali and the Wolumokono of the Gadangme State would serve as a model for peaceful coexistence and inter-ethnic cooperation across the country.
