Abronye DC’s wife denies divorce rumours
Mrs. Portia Acheampong Abronye, wife of Bono Regional NPP Chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has strongly dismissed claims circulating online that she has filed for divorce.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Mrs. Abronye described the allegations, which were aired on a YouTube channel called “The Debate with Munufie,” as “baseless, unfounded, and misleading.”
She stressed that her marriage remains intact and accused the channel of fabricating falsehoods in a bid to attract cheap attention and online traffic.
“The individual behind the so-called YouTube channel lacks integrity, decency, and professionalism.
Instead of engaging in responsible commentary, he concocts fake stories and malicious propaganda to tarnish reputations,” Mrs. Abronye stated.
She further indicated that her current priority is working with her legal team to secure bail for her husband, who is facing trial. However, she added that she would explore legal remedies against those involved in spreading the defamatory claims once that process is completed.
The allegations had suggested that Mrs. Abronye was seeking a divorce due to dissatisfaction with her husband’s actions, claims she categorically denied as fabricated and damaging.
