Apostle Agbelenyo warns against excessive consumption of 'soft drinks'

Apostle Dr. Kadmiel E.H. Agbelenyo, a certified Herbal Medicine Practitioner at Sufficient Grace Theocracy Hospital at Otiakrom in the Eastern Region and near Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region, has issued a strong warning about the health risks associated with excessive consumption of carbonated drinks otherwise known as 'soft drink'.
Speaking at the climax of the Passover Festival at Shallom-Otiakrom, Dr. Agbelenyo cautioned that these beverages contain high levels of sugar and harmful chemicals that can severely impact vital organs.
“Excessive intake of carbonated drinks can lead to kidney and liver damage, increasing the risk of organ failure,” he stated.
Expressing concern over the rising cases of kidney-related illnesses, Dr. Agbelenyo urged parents to refrain from giving soft drinks to their children. Instead, he encouraged families to prepare fresh fruit juices at home, which offer natural health benefits and help prevent conditions such as diabetes.
In addition to dietary changes, the herbal medicine expert emphasized the importance of incorporating fruits and vegetables into daily meals. However, he warned against the dangers of consuming commercially grown produce, citing the harmful chemicals used in modern farming practices. To promote a healthier lifestyle, Dr. Agbelenyo advised the public to cultivate their own vegetables to ensure a chemical-free and nutritious diet.
His remarks serve as a call to action for Ghanaians to make healthier food choices and prioritize natural nutrition to safeguard their long-term health.
