Ashanti NSA director urges service personnel to build networks for employment opportunities
The Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), Emmanuel Reagan Fynn, has urged national service personnel to prioritise professional networking to improve their chances of securing employment after completing their service year.
Speaking to the media during the NSA’s Ashanti Regional Delegates’ Conference in Kumasi, Mr Fynn said discipline and hard work are essential qualities for success in the workplace.
He noted that national service serves as an important transition into the professional world and encouraged personnel to develop a strong work ethic and maintain professional conduct throughout their deployment.
Also addressing the conference, the Mayor of Kumasi, Ofori Agyemang Boadi, encouraged service personnel to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career option rather than relying solely on the job market.
He urged graduates from different fields to collaborate and use their skills to establish businesses and other ventures.
Mr Boadi cited examples of graduates in areas such as Civil Engineering and Marketing working together to form consulting firms, adding that determination and commitment are key to building sustainable businesses.
