Family considers overseas treatment for Adwoa Safo after shooting incident
The family of former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo, is reportedly exploring the possibility of seeking specialist medical treatment abroad following injuries she sustained in a shooting incident over the weekend.

Sources familiar with the matter indicate that consultations are underway regarding her transfer to a foreign medical facility for further treatment. The move is expected to be undertaken later this week, pending medical advice and the completion of travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, legal proceedings have commenced in connection with the incident, with nine suspects, including Israel Kwadwo Safo Akofena, making their first appearance before the Adentan Circuit Court.
The accused were escorted to court under tight security and arrived in a prison transport vehicle as authorities formally initiated proceedings over their alleged roles in the shooting.
The incident, which occurred during a major gathering of the Kristo Asafo Mission, has attracted widespread public attention and sparked intense scrutiny as investigators work to establish the circumstances that led to the violence. The case has been adjourned as investigations and court proceedings continue.
