NPA educates public on LPG safety at 7th Volta Fair in Ho
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has intensified its public education efforts on safe use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), conducting a sensitisation exercise at the ongoing 7th Volta Fair in Ho.
The engagement formed part of activities for the 24-hour exhibition, bringing together heads of Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), patrons and vendors.
Officers from the Authority provided vital information on best practices in LPG handling, storage, and transportation, as well as the NPA’s regulatory mandate in ensuring safety and compliance within the petroleum downstream sector.
The sensitisation session also highlighted the Authority’s ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting cleaner energy consumption and preventing accidents associated with improper LPG usage.
Officials encouraged the public to adhere strictly to safety guidelines and pledged continuous stakeholder education to guarantee safe access to petroleum products nationwide.
