PETROSOL Platinum Energy has strongly denied claims circulating on social media alleging that the company was involved in the sale of premix fuel as petrol and the diversion of Marine Gas Oil (MGO) for sale as regular gas oil.

In a statement issued by its management, PETROSOL described a video posted on March 1, 2026, by Okatakyei Afrifa as misleading and inaccurate.

The video reportedly claimed that PETROSOL was among a list of Oil Marketing Companies cited by the Office of the Special Prosecutor for engaging in the alleged practices.

However, the company clarified that it was not listed in the recent release issued by the Office of the Special Prosecutor and has never been involved in such activities.

Management of PETROSOL indicated that it has contacted Mr. Afrifa directly to retract the claim and correct the record.

The company further assured customers and the general public that it strictly adheres to regulatory standards and industry best practices in its operations.

PETROSOL noted that as an indigenous Oil Marketing Company, it maintains internationally recognised quality management standards and has received national quality awards.

It also highlighted commendations received from the Ghana Revenue Authority and the National Petroleum Authority for its tax and regulatory compliance.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to ethical business practices and high product quality as it continues to meet the fuel and lubricant needs of customers, including those using modern vehicles and equipment.

Management added that PETROSOL remains dedicated to its corporate purpose of energising dreams, igniting hope and supporting the aspirations of its customers and stakeholders.
