The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor, identified as Christian Amponsah, at a guest house in Kasoa Second.
The suspects are Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a female juvenile. They were arrested on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and are believed to be connected to the incident.
According to a police statement dated October 28, the arrest followed a complaint from the guest house manager, who said the deceased and the juvenile had booked a room for two hours.
When the two did not leave after the period had elapsed, the manager went to check on them and found Mr Amponsah lying motionless in a pool of blood.
Police who visited the scene found the body lying face down and covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows.
The body was subsequently conveyed to the Police Hospital Mortuary in Accra for preservation, identification and autopsy.
The three suspects are in police custody assisting with investigations.
The police said investigations were ongoing and steps were being taken to put the suspects before court.
