Ken Agyapong supporter stabs another over GH¢2,000

A disturbing incident occurred on Tuesday, 29th April, at Kumasi Bantama in the Ashanti Region following a visit by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as part of their “Thank You Tour”.
The tour, which was expected to be a moment of celebration and appreciation, turned chaotic after a violent confrontation broke out among some students from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Unity Hall who were mobilised to cheer up Kennedy Agyapong, a failed New Patriotic Party Presidential aspirant.
According to eyewitness accounts, the altercation ensued after the team of Kennedy Agyapong, a leading figure in the NPP, reportedly distributed money to a group of students from KNUST who had been mobilised for the event.
Each student was said to be entitled to GH¢500, but tensions rose when some individuals felt they had been short-changed during the distribution process.
The dispute quickly escalated into a physical fight, resulting in one student being stabbed during the scuffle.
The injured individual was rushed to the Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for urgent treatment, while the perpetrator reportedly fled the scene.
