Tema Police arraigned four over 315 parcels of suspected Indian Hemp

The Tema Community 1 District Police have arraigned four men arrested in connection with the possession of 315 compressed parcels of substances suspected to be Indian hemp at the Tema Industrial Area.
The accused persons have been identified as Nura Sali (44), Pius Chukwuma (49), Mustapha Umar (18), and Abdulai Amayau (23).
They were put before the Ashiaman Circuit Court, which ordered that they be remanded into police custody.
The four are scheduled to reappear in court on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
In addition, the court directed that the truck used in transporting the suspected narcotics, with registration number 7291-16, be impounded until further notice.
Police say investigations are ongoing.
