Two students arrested for alleged rape at Eastern Regional Super Zonals sports competition

The misconducts, according to GES include a stabbing incident and an alleged gang‑rape.

The attack was allegedly carried out by students of New Juaben Senior High School.
A female student of Osino Senior High School was allegedly raped in a bush near the competition grounds.
Regarding the rape, two students have been arrested and are assisting police investigations.
A third suspect, the alleged ringleader and former student of Koforidua Senior High Technical School, is at large.
The victim received medical care, was discharged, and is getting counselling and psychosocial support from the Regional Guidance and Counselling Coordinator, the Girls’ Education Unit head, and DOVVSU officers
