Accra Metropolitan University presents 20 scholarships to Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo

A delegation from Accra Metropolitan University, led by renowned academic and administrator Prof Goski Alabi, has presented 20 fully-funded scholarships to the Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse and his Council of Elders at Nungua in the Greater Accra Region.
The symbolic presentation ceremony took place at the traditional palace of the Ga State spiritual leader, where Prof Alabi emphasised the university's commitment to promoting education and fostering closer collaboration with traditional authorities.
“These scholarships are part of our broader initiative to empower local communities through access to quality tertiary education,” Prof Alabi stated.
“We recognise the invaluable role traditional leaders play in shaping and guiding our communities, and we are honoured to extend this opportunity through Nuumo Gborbu and his esteemed council.”
The scholarships will support deserving students within the Ga state, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, to pursue various academic programmes at Accra Metropolitan University.
Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse, on behalf of the Council of Elders, expressed deep appreciation for the gesture.
He praised the university for recognising the importance of education in transforming communities and pledged the council’s support in identifying qualified beneficiaries.
“This initiative will change lives and uplift families.
Education is the key to our future, and we are grateful to Accra Metropolitan University for investing in the future of our youth,” he said.
