Awutu Senya West MP donates over 1,600 school uniforms to pupils
The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West and Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, Gizella Tetteh Agbotui, has donated more than 1,600 school uniforms to pupils in the constituency as part of efforts to support education and improve the welfare of school children.
The beneficiary schools are located in Awutu Bawjiase in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region and include Opembo Anglican Basic School, Methodist Basic School, D/A Basic School, Presby Basic School, SDA Basic School, Roman Basic School, Anglican Basic School, Nuriya Basic School, and Islamic Basic School.
Speaking to the media, the MP said the donation was aimed at easing the financial burden on parents while encouraging pupils to remain focused on their education.
She noted that supporting education remains a key priority and reaffirmed her commitment to initiatives that improve teaching and learning conditions within the constituency.
Pupils and school authorities who received the uniforms expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a significant intervention that would positively impact students and their families.
They also commended the MP for her continued support for education and welfare programmes in the constituency.
