The Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, accompanied by the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and Deputy Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, paid a special visit to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates at various examination centres in Burma Camp to offer words of encouragement ahead of their Mathematics paper.
The high-profile visit aimed to boost the morale of the candidates and underscore the government's commitment to supporting education and student welfare.
The ministers interacted warmly with the students, offering guidance and inspiring them to give their best during the examination period.
Haruna Iddrisu, a seasoned legislator and newly appointed Minister for Education, urged the candidates to remain confident and focused.
"Believe in yourselves and stay disciplined. This exam is just one step on your journey, and we are here to support you all the way," he told the students.
Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for the area, reassured the candidates of the government’s commitment to improving access to quality education and ensuring equal opportunities for all school children. She expressed pride in the performance of students from her constituency and pledged continuous support.
The Defence Minister, speaking on behalf of the leadership present, thanked his colleague ministers for their support and encouragement.
"Working together, we shall reset our dear country, fix the numerous challenges, and restore opportunities for all, as promised by H.E. John Dramani Mahama," he stated, echoing the broader national agenda of transformation and hope.
