KNUST to host Sir David Adjaye for public lecture on African futures and architecture

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) will host a public lecture on African futures, architecture and cultural identity on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

The lecture is being organised by the College of Art and Built Environment through its Public Lectures Committee and is open to the university community and the general public.

The event will be held at the Great Hall, KNUST, at 4 PM.

The theme for the lecture is “African Futures: Architecture, Identity, and the Power of Cultural Narratives.”

Award-winning Ghanaian-British architect Sir David Adjaye will deliver the lecture. Organisers describe him as an architect known for his artistic sensibilities and community-driven projects.

Professor Mrs Rita Akosua Dickson, Vice Chancellor of KNUST, will chair the programme, while Professor Christian Koranteng, Provost of the College of Art and Built Environment (CABE), will serve as host.

The university has encouraged members of the public to attend the event.
