Prof Denis Worlanyo Aheto: University of Cape Coast Appoints new VC
The Governing Council of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has appointed Professor Denis Worlanyo Aheto as the new Vice-Chancellor of the university.
The appointment was announced in a notice issued by the Council Secretariat on May 15, 2026.
According to the notice, the decision was taken at a special meeting of the Governing Council held on the same day.

Professor Aheto, who currently serves as the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university, will officially assume office as Vice-Chancellor on August 1, 2026.
The notice was signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Gideon Enoch Abbeyquaye ESQ.
