Young Executive CEO honoured with two International awards at Champions of Asia 2025 in Malaysia

Renowned Ghanaian educationist and entrepreneur, Dr. Francis Essel Okyeahene, has received two prestigious international honours at the 2025 Champions of Asia Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Saturday, July 26.
Dr. Okyeahene, who voluntarily transitioned from public service to private enterprise, was presented with the Excellence in Education Award (Proven Quality, Asia Excellence Choice Awards 2025) and the Inspiring Professional & Leadership Award 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to basic education and leadership.
The event brought together distinguished professionals, business leaders, and innovators from across Asia—including countries such as Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Dr. Okyeahene was notably the only African and Ghanaian awardee invited to participate in the high-level awards night, making his achievement even more historic.
According to the organisers, Dr. Okyeahene's work in transforming basic education through his institutions—Onua Francis International School in Gomoa Buduburam and Young Executive School (YES) in Kasoa—earned him global acclaim and the dual honours.
In a symbolic moment of national pride, the Ghanaian flag was raised, and the Ghana National Anthem was played and sung during the ceremony, highlighting the global recognition of Ghana’s impact in education through Dr. Okyeahene’s work.
Reacting to the awards, Dr. Okyeahene expressed profound gratitude and attributed the recognition to divine favour and the collective efforts of his team and supporters.
“To God be the glory for honouring me with two international awards,” he stated.
“I dedicate these achievements to the hardworking staff of Onua Francis International School, Young Executive School, my family, education stakeholders globally, and all Ghanaians contributing to national development.”
His recognition not only marks a personal milestone but also underscores the rising influence of Ghanaian educators on the global stage.
