In a significant demonstration of commitment to boost agriculture production and to support farmers of the Agotime-Ziope Constituency, Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Agbeve has secured 1,000 bags of fertilizer for distribution to farmers ahead of the current farming season.

The intervention forms part of the MP’s broader vision to support local farmers, improve crop yields, strengthen food security, and enhance the livelihoods of the hardworking people whose efforts contribute immensely to the food basket of the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole.

The fertilizers will be distributed through the NDC party’s branch executives as well as to other deserving constituents to ensure that the support reaches farmers across the constituency in a transparent and coordinated manner.

Speaking during the official presentation of the fertilizers to constituency executives and ward coordinators for onward distribution, Charles Agbeve emphasised that agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy and assured constituents of his continued commitment to initiatives that directly improve their lives.

He noted that the increasing cost of farm inputs has placed enormous pressure on farmers, calling for interventions such as this essential thing to sustaining agricultural production. 

According to the MP, empowering farmers with essential inputs is one of the most effective ways of promoting food security, increasing household incomes and supporting the government’s agenda of strengthening the agricultural sector.

Mr Agbeve further urged beneficiaries to make good use of the fertilizers to maximize yields during the farming season and reaffirmed his resolve to continue advocating for more development projects and opportunities that will benefit every community within the constituency.

The constituency executives and branch coordinators expressed profound appreciation to the Member of Parliament for his timely intervention, describing the gesture as a clear demonstration of responsive leadership and a testament to his dedication to the welfare of the people.

The fertilizer distribution is yet another milestone in the Charles Agbeve’s ongoing efforts to deliver practical support to constituents and ensure that the people of Agotime-Ziope continue to benefit from impactful leadership and development-oriented representation.
