Chinese Defence AttachévVisits Ghana’s Defence Ministry to deepen security cooperation
The Chinese Defence Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Dou Yan, has paid a working visit to the Ministry of Defence as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen defence and security cooperation between Ghana and China.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister for Defence, Mr. Ernest Brogya Genfi, expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its crucial support in the investigation of the recent Z-9 helicopter crash.
He noted that China’s assistance reflects its continued commitment to Ghana’s defence advancement.
Colonel Dou Yan reaffirmed China’s readiness to deepen bilateral defence relations and extended an official invitation to the Deputy Minister to visit China for further high-level engagements.
Talks also focused on enhancing military-to-military cooperation and exploring new areas of collaboration that will benefit both nations, particularly in capacity building, technology, and operational support.
