Apostle Emmanuel Agye-Kwaf, Ho Area Head of The Church of Pentecost, has urged men to embrace their responsibility as leaders of their families and communities, saying lasting societal transformation begins with responsible fatherhood.

Speaking at a Father's Day celebration, Apostle Agye-Kwaf said national development and social progress depend largely on men leading their homes with purpose, discipline and godly values.

He noted that transformation requires commitment and intentional effort, adding that men must take the lead in driving positive change within their families and communities.

“Transformation comes with effort, and transformation begins with men. Once men are pushing the transformation agenda, we can be certain that there will be change. God has entrusted the family to us, and we must be intentional in leading it according to His purpose,” he said.

The Ho Area Head encouraged fathers to seek God's guidance in their leadership roles and remain committed to building strong family values that contribute to national development.

He expressed confidence that Ghana would witness significant positive change if more men accepted their responsibilities and provided effective leadership in their homes.

Apostle Agye-Kwaf also linked several social challenges affecting young people, including drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and juvenile delinquency, to weak family structures and inadequate parental involvement.

He stressed the importance of fathers playing an active role in raising their children by providing guidance, supervision, emotional support and their basic needs.

“We must have fathers who are ready to take responsibility, provide for their children and ensure strict supervision. Fathers should create an open environment where children can freely share their frustrations and challenges,” he stated.

He further advised young people, particularly those without strong parental support, to remain grounded in Christian values and avoid behaviours that could negatively affect their future.

According to him, young people should draw strength from their faith in Christ and resist influences that lead to destructive lifestyles.

His remarks formed part of activities marking Father's Day, during which fathers were recognised for their role in shaping families, communities and the nation.
