The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka-Mubarak, has inaugurated the newly established Bono Regional Command of the National Signals Bureau (NSB) in Sunyani, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening national security and intelligence infrastructure across the country.
During the ceremony, the Minister underscored the strategic importance of the new command centre, which will serve as a critical hub for signals intelligence in the region.
He highlighted that the facility will utilise advanced technology and skilled personnel to provide real-time, actionable intelligence to support the operations of various security services.
"The establishment of this command is a clear demonstration of our resolve to equip our security agencies with the tools and intelligence necessary to safeguard our nation,” Mohammed-Mubarak stated.
The opening forms part of a broader effort to decentralise and enhance Ghana’s security architecture, ensuring timely and coordinated responses to emerging threats.
