NAiMOS taskforce strikes at Dadieso, disrupts galamsey activities and arrests 9 Chinese illegal miners
On Saturday, 6 December 25 at about 11:50 hours, the NAiMOS taskforce currently operating in the Western and Western North Regions disrupted an illegal mining site at Dadieso in the Suaman District, in the Western North Region.
The Taskforce encountered 9 Chinese galamseyers who have since been arrested.
These Chinese illegal miners’ operations have severely polluted the Bia River.
A number of Chungfang machines, heavy-duty pumping machines and makeshift structures used by these illegal miners were destroyed beyond repair.
