National Film Authority hosts dialogue to chart bold future for Ghana’s film industry

The National Film Authority (NFA) has convened a high-level national dialogue on the future of Ghana’s film industry under the theme “Accelerating Industry Development.”
The event brought together key stakeholders from government, the creative sector, the private sector, investors, and development partners to explore strategies for unlocking the industry’s full potential.
Discussions focused on innovative financing models to empower Ghanaian filmmakers to produce world-class content, forging strategic partnerships between the film sector and brands, and expanding access to local, regional, and global markets.
Distinguished panellists with expertise in finance, media, brand marketing, production, and directing shared insights expected to shape a blueprint for the next phase of the industry’s growth.
Representing the NFA, actress and producer Kafui Danku underscored the importance of collaboration and practical solutions in building a vibrant creative economy.
She expressed gratitude to partners and stakeholders for their continued investment in the vision of a globally competitive Ghanaian film industry.
Established to drive sustainability and global relevance in the film ecosystem, the NFA reaffirmed its commitment to positioning film as a viable economic and marketing platform.
The dialogue, it noted, is a call to action to chart a bold new path for the industry.
The event highlighted the film’s potential to create jobs, generate prosperity, and share authentic Ghanaian stories with the world.
By uniting around a shared vision, stakeholders were urged to help transform the creative economy into a pillar of national development.
