Nii Moi Thompson appointed Chairman of NDPC

Dr. Thompson, a renowned development economist, previously served as the Director-General of the Commission, where he led the preparation of Ghana’s 40-Year Development Plan.
Between 2014 and 2015, he spearheaded Ghana’s technical delegations to the United Nations, playing a key role in the development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their subsequent integration into Ghana’s national development framework.
As Chairman, Dr. Thompson will work closely with key government officials, including the Minister for Finance, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, and the Government Statistician.
He will also engage with presidential appointees and representatives from Ghana’s 16 regions to provide strategic policy advice to the President and Parliament on national development initiatives.
