Rev. Appiagyei urges women to highlight fathers' roles in parenting

In a heartfelt and thought-provoking sermon to mark Father’s Day, Head Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, Rev. Kingsley Appiagyei, delivered a powerful message celebrating the vital role of fathers in the lives of their children while urging both men and women to foster stronger family bonds.
Speaking during a special Father’s Day service at the church’s Ghana branch, Rev. Appiagyei called on women to actively educate their children on the crucial contributions fathers make in raising a family.
He emphasised that recognising and appreciating these roles would deepen the love and respect children have for their fathers.
“It’s time for every woman to help their children understand the critical role fathers play in their upbringing,” Rev. Appiagyei told the congregation.
“Highlighting these efforts cultivates love and appreciation for fatherhood within the family.”
While he celebrated the role of fathers, Rev. Appiagyei also paid tribute to single mothers, applauding their resilience and commitment in raising children, often on their own.
He acknowledged the heavy burden they carry and praised their efforts in fulfilling both maternal and paternal duties.
Addressing the men in the congregation directly, the revered pastor reminded fathers that their responsibilities extend beyond financial provision.
He called on them to be present in their children’s lives emotionally and physically.
“Fathers must spend quality time with their children,” he stressed.
“Such interactions build stronger family bonds and nurture love and understanding.”
The service also served as an opportunity for Rev. Appiagyei to promote the upcoming Integrity Conference 2025, scheduled for September.
He described the annual gathering as a platform for spiritual renewal and enlightenment, featuring dynamic teachings from renowned pastors across the country.
“This conference offers a wealth of wisdom and spiritual insight,” he said. “I encourage everyone to mark their calendars and participate. It’s a chance to grow, be inspired, and build integrity in every area of life.”
Rev. Appiagyei’s message struck a chord with the congregation, resonating as a timely reminder of the shared responsibilities in parenting and the importance of building stronger, more loving family units. The service concluded with heartfelt prayers and blessings for all fathers and caregivers.
