Bryan Acheampong campaign dismisses false claims from Ashanti Youth Group for Bawumia
The campaign team of Dr. Bryan Acheampong has responded to what it describes as false claims and unfounded accusations made by a youth group aligned with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign in the Ashanti Region.
In a statement issued by the Communications Directorate of the Bryan Acheampong Campaign, the team said it had taken note of a recent press conference by members of the “Ashanti Youth Organisation for Bawumia,” which allegedly included the names of unwilling individuals and even a deceased person among its signatories.
The campaign office described the statement as being “laced with unfortunate insults and baseless accusations” directed at Dr. Bryan Acheampong, but emphasised that it would not be drawn into a war of words.
“Out of respect for our shared commitment to a united NPP, the values of Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign, and following the meeting with former President Akufo-Addo where we affirmed the same, we will not dignify these provocations with a response,” the statement read.
The campaign further urged its supporters nationwide to remain calm and avoid responding to provocations, reiterating a message of unity and discipline within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Do not engage, do not respond, and do not return insults,” the team urged.
According to the statement, Dr. Acheampong’s focus remains on engaging delegates respectfully, promoting ideas that will strengthen the NPP, and preparing the party for what it described as a decisive victory in 2028.
The campaign also expressed gratitude to Asanteman for what it called “massive support over the last few days,” and thanked supporters across the country for their continued confidence in Dr. Acheampong’s leadership.
The statement was signed by the Communications Directorate of the Bryan Acheampong Presidential Campaign Office.
