Ghanaians happy with NDC’s first-year performance — Party communicator claims
A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team, Roger T. D. Will, has praised the government’s first-year performance, stating that many Ghanaians feel satisfied with the direction of the country under President John Dramani Mahama.
According to him, the 2024 general elections represented what he described as a “second independence” for citizens who were struggling under the previous government.
He argued that the economic and social hardships experienced before the election were far worse than anything the nation had endured.
He made these claims while speaking on the Oman Ghana Nkosuo morning show hosted by Yaa Titi on Accra-based CTV.
“Ghanaians voted to claim their re-independence last year because of the hardships they were going through.
It was bigger than what Babylon went through under King Nebuchadnezzar,” he said, accusing the former administration of subjecting citizens to unbearable living conditions.
Roger noted that many people on social media are drawing attention to December 7 as the day Ghanaians “voted for their independence”, comparing it to the first independence achieved under Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He expressed gratitude to the electorate for choosing change and thanked President Mahama for “making himself available to serve and rebuild the nation”.
Quoting from John 10:10 in the Bible, he claimed the “NPP came to steal and to destroy, but the NDC government has brought freedom and life to Ghanaians.”
As the NDC government marks its first year in office, he urged supporters and citizens to continue backing the administration and remain patient as reforms take shape.
