The Chairman of the National Service Authority (NSA) Board and the NDC National Youth Working Committee, Emmanuel Okai Mintah, says it is the responsibility of party executives and the government to help create job opportunities for party members, particularly foot soldiers.

According to the aspiring NDC National Youth Organiser, the party’s youth played a significant role in securing electoral victory and should benefit from the opportunities created under the government they helped bring to power.

Speaking on The Citizen Show with Kwabena Bobie Ansah on Accra100.5FM on October 12, 2025, Mr Mintah urged party foot soldiers to remain hopeful and patient, stressing that opportunities would come at different times for different people.

He acknowledged that while some members might receive opportunities earlier, others might have to wait longer for their turn.

Mr Mintah said he had begun engaging government appointees to identify and make opportunities available to young party members.

“Sometimes, the opportunities are available, but the challenge is knowing where to go and how to access them,” he explained.

He added that, if elected NDC National Youth Organiser, he would engage various government agencies and ministries to help connect party youth to available employment opportunities.

Mr Mintah, however, acknowledged that the NDC government might not be able to provide jobs for every party member within its four-year term, arguing that sustained governance could create further opportunities over time.

Emmanuel Okai Mintah is a Ghanaian entrepreneur and politician who chairs the NSA Board and the NDC National Youth Working Committee. He previously served as Head of Operations for the NDC National Youth Wing’s 2024 campaign and has held positions including Eastern Regional Youth Organiser and Deputy Regional Treasurer.

He is also the leader of the Green Army grassroots movement, which promotes youth participation and campus engagement through the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN). He is aspiring to become the NDC’s National Youth Organiser for the 2028 elections.
