Kumawu MP donates to support Farmers’ Day celebration in his district
Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament for the Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti Region has donated various items to support the Farmers’ Day celebration in the area.
Among the items were Wellington boots, cutlasses, and knapsack sprayers.
The MP donated an interaction with the Sekyere Kumawu District Chief Executive, Mr Kwasi Amankwa, at Kumawu.
Mr Anim stressed the importance of supporting the farmers to increase food production in the area, and he would continue to work with all key stakeholders to improve the livelihoods of the people.
He also held discussions with the DCE as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with the District Assembly, focused on evaluating ongoing projects, identifying emerging needs, and aligning development interventions to ensure sustainable growth across the constituency.
They also deliberated on ways to accelerate infrastructure development, enhance social services, and improve the welfare of residents.
Mr Amankwa, on his part, thanked the MP for the support and said all the political actors were working to improve the living conditions of the people.
There was a need to ensure effective collaboration to achieve the common goal of improving the livelihoods of the people in the area.
