The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has opened its online portal for the submission of nomination forms by aspirants seeking to contest the party’s upcoming regional executive elections.

The current Deputy Regional Secretary, Lawyer Eric Offei, is contesting the Regional Secretary position and has called on delegates to support his bid.

Speaking to the media after submitting his nomination form online, Lawyer Offei appealed to delegates to vote massively for him to enable him to continue what he described as his hard work and dedication towards advancing the region.

He stressed the need for effective coordination within the regional secretariat and pledged to work to retain the party’s parliamentary seats and presidential votes in the region.

Lawyer Offei also pointed to his cordial relationship with party members, particularly those at the grassroots, as part of his campaign for the position.

He urged the party leadership to provide more resources for the grassroots, including creating jobs and supporting opportunities for them to be absorbed into the security agencies.

The NDC is expected to hold its regional executive elections in November.
