PNP’s Janet Nabla slams Mahama over removal of Justice Torkornoo

The Leader and Chairperson of the People’s National Party (PNP), Janet Nabla, has delivered a scathing critique of President John Dramani Mahama, condemning his government’s handling of the removal of Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.
In a passionate speech, Nabla described the President’s actions as unlawful and unconstitutional, accusing him of undermining the rule of law and eroding Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of democracy.
Miss Nabla went further to liken Mahama’s leadership approach to that of Adolf Hitler and Idi Amin, arguing that his alleged disregard for the Constitution and abuse of power reflect authoritarian tendencies.
“What we are witnessing is a dangerous slide towards dictatorship.
Ghanaians must rise and defend our Constitution,” she declared.
The PNP leader urged citizens to hold the National Democratic Congress (NDC) accountable by rejecting it at the 2028 general elections, insisting that the party’s actions prove it cannot be trusted with Ghana’s democracy.
Ms. Nabla also framed the removal of Justice Torkornoo as a setback for women’s empowerment, stressing that undermining a female leader of such stature sends the wrong message about women’s place in governance and public service.
Reaffirming her party’s values, Ms. Nabla pledged that the PNP will continue to champion honesty, integrity, and transparency, and work in the best interests of the Ghanaian people.
