President Mahama bids farewell to Virginia E. Palmer

President John Dramani Mahama has extended warm wishes and gratitude to Virginia E. Palmer, the outgoing United States Ambassador to Ghana, as she concludes her diplomatic mission in the country.
The farewell took place at the Jubilee House, where President Mahama and Ambassador Palmer engaged in a productive discussion centred on the enduring partnership between Ghana and the United States.
President Mahama praised Ambassador Palmer for her dedicated service and the significant contributions she made to strengthening bilateral ties during her tenure.
“I thanked her for her dedicated service and contributions during her tenure and wished her the very best in her future endeavours,” President Mahama stated.
He reaffirmed Ghana’s appreciation for its longstanding relationship with the United States, emphasising the mutual cooperation that has spanned key areas such as economic development, education, security, and health.
“Ghana deeply values its relationship with the United States,” the President added, noting the shared commitment to democratic governance, peace, and prosperity.
Ambassador Palmer, who assumed office in 2022, played an instrumental role in deepening U.S.-Ghana collaboration and supporting various development initiatives across the country.
Her departure marks the end of a term widely regarded as impactful and engaging.
