Roads Minister unveils Mahama’s road agenda at Gov't Accountability Series

The Minister for Roads and Highways, Mr Kwame Governs Agboza, today took centre stage at the Government Accountability Series to outline President John Dramani Mahama’s ambitious agenda for the road sector.
Addressing the series, Mr. Agboza will detail a comprehensive vision aimed at transforming Ghana’s road infrastructure to support economic growth, ease transportation, and enhance regional connectivity.
The Minister will highlight key priority projects under the Mahama administration’s renewed infrastructure drive, including the dualization of major highways, expansion of urban roads, and completion of stalled projects inherited from the previous government.
He will stress that the agenda reflects the President’s commitment to inclusive development and reducing road traffic fatalities across the country.
“This agenda is not just about building roads, but about connecting lives, markets, and opportunities,” Mr. Agboza stated.
“We are investing in infrastructure that will serve generations and unlock the full potential of our economy.”
The Government Accountability Series, an initiative designed to promote transparency and inform the public on government activities, continues to provide a platform for Ministers to report on their sectors and engage citizens.
Mr Agboza will reaffirm the government’s dedication to delivering quality roads across all regions, with special attention to rural communities, to ensure no part of the country is left behind.
