Volta Regional Minister urges Assembly Members to swiftly confirm MMDCE nominees

The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has called on all Assembly members across the 18 districts of the Volta Region to confirm President John Dramani Mahama’s newly nominated Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Class News, Mr. Gunu emphasized the importance of swift action in local governance to stabilize the economy and accelerate development. He noted that the confirmation of the nominees would enable the Mahama administration to implement critical policies and interventions without unnecessary delays, thereby enhancing development efforts in the region.
The minister also encouraged the nominees to live up to the expectations of both the president and their constituents once confirmed. He stressed that dedication, competence, experience, and commitment to national development would be essential to transforming their districts and contributing to President Mahama’s vision of resetting Ghana.
Mr. Gunu urged Assembly members to support the nominees, adding that their prompt confirmation would demonstrate a collective commitment to progress and socio-economic growth in the Volta Region.
