5 days, 5 countries, 5 fashion brands, 5 performances, as ABF turns five

The Africa Basketball Festival (ABF) marks a major milestone this year; five incredible years of bringing together basketball, fashion, and music in one unforgettable celebration of African talent and culture.
To honour this achievement, the organisers have introduced a special “5” theme that runs through every part of this year’s festival.
From December 10 to 14, the University of Ghana (UG) basketball court will come alive for “five straight days” of thrilling entertainment, exciting competition, and cultural celebration, all starting at 3 PM daily.
Hosted by the UG Sports & Wellness Directorate, ABF 2025 promises to be bigger, bolder, and more immersive than ever.
Five countries will battle it out for the prestigious ABF 5th Anniversary trophy, bringing top-tier basketball action and continental rivalry to the court.
But it does not stop there.
This year’s festival will showcase “five outstanding fashion brands” during the much-anticipated ABF Fashion Show & Cultural Night, where style meets heritage under the lights.
To top it all off, fans will be treated to “five musical performances” featuring some of Africa’s hottest music talents.
As part of the 5th anniversary celebration is The Bitcoin Classics, a one-day intense basketball competition amongst the top clubs in Ghana.
This is on Thursday, December 11, at UG basketball court.
Five years strong and still rising, Africa Basketball Festival (@RealABF) continues to redefine the fusion of sports, culture, and creativity in Ghana and beyond.
