Black Maidens beat Liberia 6-0 in U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifier first leg
The Black Maidens defeated Liberia 6-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana took the lead in the 31st minute through Daniella Abass after sustained pressure from the hosts.
In the second half, Seidatu Wahab doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute.
Linda Achiaa scored the third goal four minutes later before Jessica Appiah made it 4-0 in the 60th minute.
Priscilla Mensah added the fifth goal in the 73rd minute, while Mavis Yeboah scored in the 90th minute to complete the victory.
The Black Maidens head into the second leg with a six-goal advantage.
