Black Maidens depart for Liberia ahead of U-17 World Cup Qualifier return leg
The Black Maidens departed Accra on Tuesday for Monrovia ahead of the second leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Liberia.
The team travelled aboard Asky Air as preparations continue for the decisive return fixture.
The travelling contingent includes 24 players, 14 officials and two management members as Ghana seeks to complete the qualification job following an impressive first-leg result.
The technical team is expected to continue final preparations in Monrovia before the match, with the Black Maidens aiming to maintain their form and secure progression to the next stage of the qualifiers.
The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers remain an important part of Ghana’s efforts to secure another appearance on the global stage.
