Joseph Paintsil has scored a goal that has helped his team make history.

A goal by the Ghanaian international in the Major League Soccer (MLS) has made his LA Galaxy side the first club in the history of the league to have four players with 10 or more goals in a single season.

The 69th minute goal by the winger was his 10th.

On X, LA Galaxy wrote: "The most storied franchise. With @josephpaintsil's goal in the 69th minute, the #LAGalaxy have become the first team in MLS history with four players who have scored 10+ goals in the same season."

"It's really an amazing thing that the four of us have 10 plus goals," Paintsil remarked. "It's a plus for us and for the team. It will also give us the confidence to do extra more and to also write our name in the history book of L.A. Galaxy at the end of the season."

By his feat, the number 28 jersey is officially in the company of LA Galaxy players who in this season have double figures: Dejan Joveljic (14 goals, 5 assists), Gabriel Pec (13 goals, 12 assists) and Riqui Puig (11 goals, 14 assists).

A Black Stars striker, 26, Joseph Paintsil has now contributed 20 goals in the MLS, half of which were via assists.
