The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) officially launched its 2025 Consumer Week celebrations with a major public event aimed at promoting the safe and sustainable use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

The launch featured key addresses from the Deputy Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Mr. Richard Gyan-Mensah, and the Chief Executive of the NPA, Dr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., who delivered critical educative messages on LPG benefits and safety.

Held under the theme “LPG: A Sustainable Energy for a Better Tomorrow,” the event capped off a series of preparatory activities, including LPG safety awareness durbars in Maamobi and Teshie, and market engagements in Ashaiman.

The celebration attracted a diverse audience, including industry players, market women, transport operators, students, and community leaders.

Attendees were treated to live performances by top artists Stonebwoy and Nacee, adding excitement to the educational campaign.

The week-long nationwide initiative is designed to sensitize the public on the benefits of LPG, explain the implementation of the Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM), and reinforce the NPA’s role in protecting consumer interests within the petroleum downstream sector.
