Lumba's German wife and elder sister appeal to authorities to probe singer's death

Highlife icon Charles Kwadwo 'Daddy Lumba' Fosuh's widow and elder sister have called for an independent investigation into the cause of the musician's death.
German citizen of Ghanaian descent Lumba died at 60 on July 26, 2025, in Ghana.
In their October 13, 2025, statement, Lumba's Germany-based wife Akosua Serwah Fosuh, and his elder sister Ernestina Fosuh noted there were conflicting stories about how their husband and sibling died.
They, therefore, appealed to German and Ghanaian authorities to look into the matter keenly.
“These contradictory versions have left the family deeply concerned and distressed, raising serious questions about the true cause of death and whether proper medical and investigative procedures were followed,” their statement underliend.
“We, the family of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, loved him dearly and are devastated by the unclear and conflicting reports surrounding his death. We have confidence that both the German and Ghanaian authorities will work together to uncover the truth, ensure justice, and bring transparency to this painful situation.”
