We’ve nothing to do with curses on UHAS and gov’t - Asogli State

The Asogli State in the Volta Region has officially distanced itself from a recent viral video on social media, which showed some individuals cursing the Vice Chancellor and staff of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS).
In the video, the individuals were seen slaughtering a sheep and pouring libation, reportedly in reaction to UHAS’ decision to confer an honorary degree on President Akufo-Addo.
The Asogli State categorically denied any involvement or prior knowledge of the incident.
In a statement dated August 2, 2024, the Secretary of the Asogli State, Mr. Stephen Tetteh, clarified that the Asogli Council was neither consulted nor did it authorize the activity.
"We categorically disassociate ourselves from the said act and put on record that we did not know of it," Tetteh stated.
The statement emphasized that it is unacceptable for any individual or group to exploit the esteemed name of the Asogli State for personal interests.
