Televangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, could regain her freedom as early as March 3, 2026, following a significant reduction in her prison sentence.

Her lawyer, Richard Asare Baffour, disclosed in an interview on Star FM that the Amasaman High Court reviewed her original 15-year jail term and reduced it to a 12-month custodial sentence after deeming the earlier punishment excessive.

According to Baffour, Ghana’s prison remission system allows inmates to serve a reduced portion of their sentence if they meet certain conditions.

Under this arrangement, a convict may serve two-thirds of the term, with the remaining one-third waived for good behaviour.

He explained that this provision makes Agradaa eligible for early release after serving about eight months of the revised one-year sentence.

Having already spent roughly seven months in custody since her conviction in July 2025, she could be discharged within weeks.

“The earliest date she could be released is March 3,” Baffour stated, adding that the legal team is carefully monitoring the process.

Agradaa was convicted on charges including charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence, linked to an alleged money-doubling scheme operated through her ministry.
