First Lady and family honour victims ofAshanti Region helicopter crash
First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama, together with her children, on Friday, August 8, 2025, paid tribute to the eight victims of the recent helicopter crash by laying flowers in their honour.
The solemn ceremony took place in the afternoon at the Ceremonial Garden in front of the Presidency, where the nation continues to mourn the tragic loss of two Cabinet ministers and six others in the Sikaman crash in the Adansi Akrofuom area of the Ashanti Region.
The gesture formed part of the ongoing three-day national mourning period declared by the government to honour the memory of the departed.
Those who perished in the crash were identified as:

Alhaji Muniru Mohammed
Dr. Samuel Sarpong
Mr. Samuel Aboagye
Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
